Can automation get my LinkedIn account blocked?

Mailshake’s LinkedIn automation feature allows you to manage your automation limits in the browser extension settings. The default is set to 20 messages, 10 connection requests, and 10 profile views per day. This conservative limit is to ensure we abide by the terms of use set out by LinkedIn, which will reduce the risk of your account getting blocked.

Limits can be adjusted to up to 100 per day of each type however it is your responsibility to abide by the terms of use set out by LinkedIn, warm up your LinkedIn profile, and monitor all of your LinkedIn usage to avoid getting blocked.

How do I set up LinkedIn automation with Mailshake?

Setting up LinkedIn automation in Mailshake is very simple. Here are the steps you can follow:

  1. Create a new campaign.
  2. Upload a spreadsheet of your prospects. Make sure it has a column with LinkedIn URLs. You also want to name the column “LinkedIn” so Mailshake can detect it. 
  3. If your LinkedIn URL column is named something else, scroll down and double-check that the correct column is selected under ‘Social media accounts’.
  4. Click on ‘Sequence’.
  5. Choose LinkedIn Tasks in the pop up that follows.
  6. Choose a task from message, connection request, follow/unfollow, and view profile.
  7. Write a message in case you want to automate messages.
  8. Finish the campaign set up and click on ‘Start Campaign’.
  9. Go to your dashboard and navigate to ‘Open Tasks’ from the left sidebar.
  10. Click on ‘Run Automated Tasks’.

Keep in mind that you’ll need our Chrome extension to be able to automate LinkedIn tasks. If you don’t already have it, you’ll be prompted to install the extension when you click on ‘Run Automated Tasks.
